Job summary

Cyngn, based in Mountain View, CA, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design and release for autonomous industrial vehicles and towable equipment from concept through production release. You will own frames, drivetrains, enclosures, sheet metal, and assemblies, collaborating with electrical, firmware and design teams.

You are a hands-on generalist with a track record shipping vehicles or large electromechanical systems, comfortable with GD&T, tolerances, DFMEA, and DFM.

Qualifications

• Shipping a vehicle or large electromechanical system from concept to production.
• Experience with frames, drivetrains, enclosures and sheet metal.
• Ability to analyze tolerances, GD&T and supplier interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design for vehicle systems and towed equipment from concept to release.
• Lead trade studies with electrical/firmware teams and drive decisions to PO.
• Release drawings with GD&T and work with suppliers on DFM and first articles.
• Collaborate across engineering, design and operations to meet program goals.
