Job summary

Cyngn, Inc. in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Senior Vehicle Infrastructure Engineer to own the OS, provisioning, and OTA strategies for our autonomous fleet.

You will design a reliable platform bridging software and hardware, optimize the Linux base and container runtime, and own CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable deployments. This role requires hands-on work with real hardware, strong C++ and scripting skills, and collaboration across DevOps and hardware teams to deliver safe updates and

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on Linux production experience.
• Strong Linux system administration and debugging skills.
• DevOps/CI/CD experience with pipelines you built/owned.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Willing to work hands-on with real hardware—vehicles and sensors.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with modern C++ and OSS tooling.
• Ability to work on-site in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

• Architect and harden the core vehicle operating environment, including kernel selection and secure boot.
• Design end-to-end provisioning frameworks for zero-touch deployment of fleets and developer environments.
• Develop containerized runtime strategies for resource isolation across hardware.
• Implement software distribution, versioning, and OTA update pipelines for field deployment.
• Collaborate with DevOps to scale CI/CD, ensure release integrity, and automate tests.
• Diagnose complex system-level failures across OS, network, sensors, and firmware.
• Mentor the team on infrastructure-as-code and reliability best practices.
