Cyngn, Inc. is seeking a Senior Robotics Systems Software Engineer to drive software across the autonomy stack for industrial vehicles.

You will design, implement, and validate solutions in C++ and Python, collaborating with teams across planning, perception, localization, and hardware to deploy reliable autonomous tuggers and forklifts at customer sites. The role emphasizes hands-on robotics software, integration with sensors and vehicle systems, and producing production-ready tooling and tests

Qualifikationen

• BS/MS in Robotics, CS, EE or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on software for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Strong C++ and Python proficiency; ROS/ROS2 experience.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for autonomous industrial vehicles across autonomy stack areas.
• Write production-quality C++ and Python for vehicle platforms.
• Develop and integrate navigation, motion planning, control, localization, perception interfaces.
• Integrate autonomy software with sensors, drive-by-wire, and onboard components.
• Debug and validate software on real vehicles, tracing issues across modules and hardware.
• Develop simulation scenarios, testing infrastructure, metrics, and regression tests.
• Investigate field issues, reproduce failures, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions.
• Support deployment and validation of autonomous vehicles at customer facilities.
• Collaborate with Planning, Controls, Perception, Localization, Vehicle Infrastructure, Hardware, QA, and Operations.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
