Job summary

Cyngn, Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design and release for autonomous industrial vehicles and tow equipment.

You will drive from concept through production, collaborating with electrical/firmware teams and suppliers to meet performance, reliability and manufacturability goals. You will manage environmental readiness, design-for-test, harness routing and service access, while mentoring peers and leading design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Experience shipping electromechanical systems from concept through production release.
• Proven ability to own mechanical design and work cross-functionally with electrical/firmware teams.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical technical specification, design, integration and release of vehicle systems.
• Lead drive-system trade studies with electrical/firmware teams and drive decisions to PO.
• Design variants as a single platform with BOM configuration options.
• Ensure environmental readiness: sealing, drainage, thermal paths, cable entries.
• Co-design operator-interface hardware with electrical and service access features.
• Own mechanical design for towed equipment and attachments from prototype to production release.
• Release drawings, GD&T and fabrication packages; work with weldment, sheet‑metal and machined parts suppliers.
