Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Autonomous Systems Engineer for a 100% remote U.S. role.

You will design, build, and integrate robotics software spanning low-level sensor integration to high-level perception and behavior, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready systems. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in robotics software, strong C++/Python skills, and hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience, plus familiarity with sensor fusion and real-time constraints

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics software in C++ and Python with real-time performance focus.
• Design and integrate sensor data pipelines (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs).
• Implement perception, localization, and mapping (SLAM, sensor fusion).
• Develop motion planning and trajectory generation respecting constraints.
• Build behavioral systems and integrate ROS/ROS2 with hardware.
• Create safety-critical patterns and run simulations (Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and ML engineers; mentor juniors.
