Job summary

Pep Boys in Nashville, TN seeks a capable Automotive Technician who will diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentor teammates, and educate customers on repairs. You’ll interact with customers, deliver superior service, and help the shop reach higher customer satisfaction through technical leadership.

Applicants should have 3+ years of diagnostic and repair experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4/A5 plus 2 of A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required; state inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brakes, exhaust, electrical, suspension, A/C and more.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and peers clearly.
• Mentor and lead technicians to improve customer care and shop performance.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies through formal training.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant shop environment.
