Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentoring a shop team, and delivering top-notch customer service. You will interact with customers, explain problems, and present solutions while maintaining shop efficiency.

We value 3+ years of diagnostic and repair experience, strong problem-solving skills, and ASE certifications. Expect a dynamic schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 and two from A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Customer-focused attitude with high motivation and energy.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical systems.
• Repair to specifications and support lower-level technicians.
• Adequately explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized, neat shop and adhere to safety rules.
