Job summary

Pep Boys in Chattanooga is seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a team in delivering superb customer service. You will mentor peers, educate customers on problems and proposed solutions, and maintain shop organization and safety.

The role requires a strong automotive background, ASE certifications, and a focus on high-quality workmanship with a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension and A5 Brakes; plus 2 from A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1).
• Section 609 certification required; state inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and team members.
• Mentor and lead a shop team to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized, safe, policy-compliant shop environment.
