Job summary
AutoNation in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, diagnose issues, and conduct thorough inspections to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of technician experience, in-state driving privileges, and a drive for ongoing training with OEM certification support. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Automotive technical training (varies by store).
- Attention to detail and strong organization with follow-up skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle repair and maintenance with efficiency and accuracy per repair order.
- Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety/reliability improvements.
- Document work performed on each vehicle in the repair order.
- Maintain an inventory of standard tools and ensure availability of special tools as needed.
- Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
