Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Skilled Technician to repair and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards, building trust with customers and ensuring safety and reliability. The role offers paid training, OEM certification support, and opportunities for advancement across the nationwide AutoNation footprint.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing repairs, conducting multi-point inspections, and documenting work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store).
• Valid in-state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order while following dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repair if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make safety/reliability recommendations.
• Document work performed on each vehicle and maintain tools inventory for special tools.
• Keep up with factory bulletins and participate in training sessions as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
