Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, building trust and confidence with customers. You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, diagnose issues, and document work, while conducting multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability.

The role offers factory training, OEM certification support, and clear advancement paths across a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of automotive technician experience.
• Automotive technical training varies by store needs.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per the repair order, with efficiency and accuracy, per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repair if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations for safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the service department as special tools.
• Stay abreast of factory bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
