Job summary

AutoNation in Houston is seeking a Master Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, building trust with customers and ensuring their confidence in AutoNation as a care-provider for vehicle safety.

The successful candidate will diagnose malfunctions, repair as authorized, communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, conduct multi-point inspections, document work, and maintain tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive technician training or certification is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organization are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order to dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle and maintain tools inventory.
