Job summary

Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems. You will interact with customers, explain repairs, and guide the shop team to deliver superior service.

You’ll build on ASE credentials, stay current with automotive technology, and mentor others while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The role requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus 2 from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• Section 609 certification required and state inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff as needed.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; maintain an organized and safe shop.
• Stay updated with new automotive technology through formal training.
