Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Jacksonville, FL, seeks an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a team to elevate customer care. You will interact with customers, explain repairs, and mentor colleagues to maintain an efficient, safe shop.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of diagnostic experience, ASE certifications, and a valid drivers license. Availability for days, nights, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of automotive diagnostic experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 plus two others).
• Section 609 certification required.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, engines, electrical, suspension and A/C to specifications.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers.
• Mentor and lead shop team to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and clean shop while following safety rules.
• Assist fellow technicians as needed.
