Job summary

Rexel USA in Birmingham, AL seeks a Senior Automation Product Specialist to join the Mayer Team. You will support outside sales, apply product knowledge, and help customers select automation solutions.

This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, meeting sales goals, and providing expert technical support, training, and quotes to accelerate the sales cycle. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the electrical distribution or related industry.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales goals for assigned technology offerings.
• Lead and support sales efforts with key targets and opportunities.
• Provide technical support via on-site, phone, and email.
• Create and present technical and commercial training for customers.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and terms for projects.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with Purchasing on inventory.
