Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking a seasoned Automation Engineer to enhance manufacturing operations through automation and controls engineering in the greater Tampa Bay, FL area.

The successful candidate will design and commission automation systems, lead CAPEX projects, troubleshoot complex systems, and support process improvements. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and strong experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or related technical field.
• Strong experience with PLC programming platforms such as Studio 5000 / Rockwell.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and manufacturing data integration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI/SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
• Lead automation and CAPEX projects from concept through implementation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
