Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Apopka, FL is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and optimize automation control systems for conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices used in warehouse operations.

You will lead, mentor, and collaborate with operations and engineering teams, implement CMMS, and ensure safe, compliant automation upgrades while diagnosing issues and driving continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or knowledge equivalent to a 4-year degree.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor automation engineers.
• Proficiency with CMMS and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written English; able to communicate policies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize automation control systems for conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks; monitor MHE metrics and drive improvements.
• Adhere to Automation Change Management procedures and document work.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement cost-saving process improvements.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and support teams to deliver projects.
