Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and performance in fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation, troubleshoot complex systems, mentor junior engineers, and lead cross-functional teams to optimize MHE like conveyors, sortation, scanners, and SCADA devices.

You will work with state-of-the-art technology and help drive continuous improvements to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or equivalent, or 4+ years PLC/automation experience.
• 4+ years of PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in process or production environments.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 4+ years of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys ladder logic experience.
• 4+ years of electrical theory and automated equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize MHE control systems and PLC-based automation.
• Collaborate with Operations and software teams to implement automation projects.
• Monitor equipment performance and analyze downtime to drive improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams on projects.
• Provide on-site and remote escalation support to keep systems running.
