Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot control systems, analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement across MHE systems such as conveyors and SCADA devices.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams and state-of-the-art automation technology to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2 years of PLC programming or automation experience.
Work a flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
2 years of PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
2 years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
2 years of electrical theory, robotics, control components, and automated equipment experience.
2 years of Ladder Logic and structured programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations.
Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and industrial networks.
Monitor MHE metrics and address system performance issues.
Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians.
Perform and analyze building System Assessments to enhance material handling performance.
