Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Moreno Valley, CA to maximize equipment reliability and performance in fulfillment centers. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex control systems, and drive continuous improvement of MHE systems using PLC, SCADA, and robotics expertise.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply systems, and ensure safety and operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent or 4+ years of PLC programming/automation experience.
• 4+ years of PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in process/production environments.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 4+ years of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys ladder logic programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply SME on troubleshooting and support automation engineers to investigate root causes and plan actions to mitigate downtime of critical assets.
• Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, software teams, and Safety to optimize MHE systems and implement projects.
• Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, PLC/PC controllers, and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations to address performance issues with data-driven analysis.
• Provide escalation support during and after hours to ensure timely repair of hardware or software.
