Job summary
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers. You will lead proactive controls automation, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor junior engineers while driving cross-functional projects that improve MHE throughput and site efficiency.
You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply systems, and SCADA devices, leveraging state-of-the-art technology to ensure fast,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years PLC automation experience.
- 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys ladder logic programming.
Responsibilities
- Apply SME on troubleshooting and mitigate downtime of critical assets.
- Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, AFT Software, ACES, and Safety teams for MHE optimization.
- Understand and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus, etc).
- Monitor MHE metrics and provide analysis to address performance issues.
- Provide escalation support during/after hours to ensure repair of hardware or controls software.
- Move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12-hour shifts, climb ladders safely.
