Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Engineer – Automation to join the Process Automation Control Systems team in Devens, MA. The role focuses on DeltaV, PI Historian, and OT infrastructure, leading complex automation initiatives and collaborating across Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and maintaining life-cycle compliance, with a 24/7 on-call rotation and strong emphasis on GMP and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with DeltaV, PI Historian, and OT infrastructure.
• Expert understanding of S88, S95, and batch processing operations.
• Expert understanding of P&IDs, network diagrams, process flow diagrams, and SOPs.
• Experience with GMP quality processes (Deviation Management, Change Controls, etc.).
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar).

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert for the process automation systems and equipment.
• Lead complex technical efforts, such as large scope changes or difficult integrations.
• Initiate Process Automation System continuous improvement to improve operational robustness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Validation, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to keep operations on-site.
• Support key business processes such as audit, investigation and CAPA.
• Provide troubleshooting and guidance support to automation systems; 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Support Automation system life cycle per quality requirements.
