Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Engineer, Lab Automation, to lead the configuration, validation and support of laboratory automation systems on the manufacturing floor. You'll partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Digital teams to ensure compliant, reliable data and systems.

You will manage projects, mentor staff, and drive improvements in CSV and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance while providing 24/7 on-call support and contributing to audits and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in pharmaceutical laboratory operations, informatics, or IT supporting lab environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining automation software and system integrations, troubleshooting, and version/configuration management.
• Working knowledge of benchtop instrumentation and laboratory/quality systems supporting biologics and/or cell therapy operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage documentation and processes for lab automation equipment and software to ensure assets are reliable, accessible, and secure.
• Configure, maintain, and support computerized systems and software for the GXP lab and manufacturing floor, including IQ/OQ and computer system validation.
• Lead end-user training on systems and workflows and provide SME guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, software versions, and system architecture used in the lab and on the manufacturing floor.
• Provide on-call support for 24/7 operations and support audits/inspections as needed.
