Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join the Rhode Island Automation Engineering team. You will support DeltaV-based process automation, work with manufacturing, process engineering, utilities, QA, and validation to resolve issues, implement changes, and contribute to project delivery.

The role requires hands-on engineering and problem-solving skills, with on-call duties and collaboration across multiple disciplines to ensure reliable GMP manufacturing operations at

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 1+ year in process automation.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP.
• Knowledge of DeltaV DCS and automation lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for process control and automation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, utilities, QA, and validation.
• Support root cause analysis and investigations.
• Participate in commissioning and qualification of systems.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
