Job summary

Amgen in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer focused on automation for the DeltaV platform. You will provide technical leadership to automation engineers supporting GMP Drug Substance Plant Operations.

You will collaborate with SMEs to translate process requirements into digital automation solutions, lead validation activities, and steer changes, CAPAs and deviations. The role emphasizes lifecycle management, continuous improvement, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Degree and experience as described in basic qualifications.
• Experience with GMP biopharmaceutical automation environments.
• Ability to interpret and apply GAMPs and GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the DeltaV DCS process control system.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate process requirements into automation solutions.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Own Change Controls, CAPAs, and Deviations; lead technical investigations.
