Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Engineer - Automation for its Devens, MA site. You will lead process automation efforts, act as SME for DeltaV and PI Historian, and collaborate with Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to maintain compliant operations.

A strong background in GMP and batch processing is required. The role requires independent, goal-oriented work across multiple projects with a 9:00am–5:00pm schedule and a 10–15% travel expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with DeltaV, PI Historian, and OT Infrastructure.
• Expert understanding of S88, S95, and batch processing operations.
• Expert understanding of Validation Lifecycle Management (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Experience with QMS systems (Veeva or similar) and GMP quality processes.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert for the process automation systems and equipment.
• Lead complex technical efforts and major integrations.
• Initiate continuous improvement to improve operational robustness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Validation, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering and Operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and guidance for automation systems and participate in on-call rotation.
• Support Automation system life cycle to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
