GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical leadership for control and automation systems across plants. You will troubleshoot production line processes, mentor plant controls staff, and drive standardization of controls practices. Travel up to 60% is required and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• 10+ years of Controls Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Rockwell software - Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, and FTAC.
• Proficiency selecting, configuring, and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PowerFlex variable frequency drives.
• HMI development experience - FTView and/or Wonderware.
• Experience with maintaining Production networks, including servers and managed switches.
• Expertise focused on electrical components, electrical power distribution systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and variable speed AC drives.
• Demonstrated process control experience in defining, designing, installing, and maintaining control logic systems in a continuous process environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley Kinetix servo drives and safety PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Plant engineering resource for control systems and opportunities to improve plant performance.
• Lead and facilitate strategic projects across multiple plants.
• Provide training and mentoring to plant controls personnel and regional engineers.
• Coordinate with controls group and maintain knowledge of contemporary technology.
