Job summary
GAF in the United States is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control and automation systems across plants. You will troubleshoot electrical problems on the production line and mentor plant controls personnel to strengthen skills.
The role involves leading high‑impact projects, maintaining standards, and coordinating with the controls group. Will travel about 60% and requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 5+ years in controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- 5+ years of controls engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment required.
- 10+ years of controls engineering experience preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Proficiency with Rockwell software and Allen‑Bradley drives and systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary internal engineering resource for control systems.
- Lead and coordinate projects across multiple plants.
- Provide training and mentoring to plant controls personnel.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose control-related electrical problems on the production line.
- Develop and enforce controls standards and best practices across the organization.
