Job summary
GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to lead control-system initiatives across plants. You will be the primary internal resource for control systems, drive standards, and mentor plant controls personnel.
Responsibilities include strategic project development, plant-wide optimization, and high-level troubleshooting. This role requires deep engineering mastery and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
- 5+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software and PowerFlex drives.
Responsibilities
- Plant engineering support: act as the primary internal engineering resource concerning control systems and identify opportunities to improve plant performance.
- Strategic project development: lead and facilitate strategic projects across multiple plants and establish standards.
- Plant support and troubleshooting: provide remote and onsite troubleshooting and training for control systems.
- Control Group Coordination: maintain knowledge of contemporary technology and communicate with the controls team.
