General Motors in Warren, MI seeks an experienced Senior Manufacturing Controls Engineer to lead the design, integration, and commissioning of automated manufacturing systems across GM's vehicle and propulsion platforms. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, IT, robotics, and plant operations to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing controls solutions.
The role requires hands-on leadership across new product programs, plant launches, equipment upgrades, and production
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Five+ years in manufacturing controls, automation, or related discipline.
- Experience designing, programming, integrating, and commissioning automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, safety controls, networks, and electrical control systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead controls engineering execution from concept through production launch.
- Develop and approve hardware and software designs for controls.
- Program, troubleshoot, integrate, and validate automated equipment.
- Provide technical direction to engineers, suppliers, and plant personnel.
