Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Software Integration Engineer to design, integrate, and support software and controls solutions for validating vehicle electrical systems across its global manufacturing network. You will partner with manufacturing, IT, controls, validation, and plant teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and lead complex integration projects.

The role is onsite at the Warren Tech Center and requires collaboration across software, controls, networking, and plant

Qualifications

Experience developing, integrating, or supporting software in manufacturing environments.
Strong programming in C, C++, C#, or related languages.
Experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Studio 5000.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and support software applications for validating vehicle electrical systems.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of software, PLCs, networks, and plant equipment.
Support validation activities using test benches, hardware, production equipment, and vehicles.
Develop and maintain integrations between software, PLCs, robotics, and enterprise platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy reliable, scalable solutions.
Provide technical leadership on complex integration projects and ensure timely delivery.
Improve system reliability and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
Support production-critical systems including deployment activities and readiness.
Contribute to standards, documentation, and mentoring of engineers.
