Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for our Toledo, Ohio plant. This onsite role requires hands-on leadership in electrical and automation systems to support high-volume manufacturing.

You will work with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to diagnose issues and implement improvements. The ideal candidate brings a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong PLC/HMI programming skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
5+ years of Industrial Control System experience.
Proficient in PLC and HMI programming.
Troubleshooting of Servo and VFD systems.

Responsibilities

Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operations.
Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs.
Work with robotics and automation on production floors.
Lead cross-functional problem solving to improve processes.
Support and maintain production equipment and safety standards.
