Job summary

Vortex Doors is hiring an Experienced Automatic Door Technician in New Orleans. You will install, repair, and maintain automatic doors, access control, and related hardware, ensuring safety and quality. A minimum of 4 years in the door industry is required; AAADM certification is a plus.

You will work with a team that values training, growth, and customer satisfaction. The role offers full-time hours, company vehicle for service visits, uniform, boot allowance, health benefits, and 401K match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry or related field.
• AAADM certification is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift and move items and work with hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Automatic Doors, Access control systems, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door-related issues and perform repairs, with safety and quality checks.
• Install and configure door hardware including locks, handles, closers, and low-voltage components.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and maintain accurate service records.
• Provide clear explanations to customers and offer cost-effective repair solutions.
• Maintain quality standards through final inspections of installations and repairs.
