Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking an Experienced Automatic Door Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic doors and related hardware. The role requires 4+ years in the door industry, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to service commercial and industrial doors on-site for customers.

Responsibilities include diagnosing door issues, configuring access control, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining detailed service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification a plus.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Physically able to move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic doors and related hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues (springs, hinges, locks, electrical components).
• Install door hardware and configure access control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
