Vortex Doors is seeking a motivated Automatic Door Service Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining various doors and related hardware to ensure safety and efficiency on customer sites.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of door industry experience, strong access control knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience of 4-5+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification is a plus but not required.
• Proficient with access control systems and mechanical installations.
• Ability to read measurements and use power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic doors, access control, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door issues such as springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware including locks and closers.
• Ensure doors meet safety and building code standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
• Maintain records of service visits and installations.
• Diagnose technical issues and offer cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to meet high standards.
