Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking a seasoned Commercial Pedestrian and Automatic Door Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot a range of automatic and manual doors in commercial settings. You will handle locks, closers, low-voltage systems, and access control while ensuring code compliance and safety.

The role requires 4+ years in the door service industry, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read tape measures accurately.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification a plus.
• Knowledge of door types, brands and hardware.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair Automatic Doors, Access control, and low energy pedestrian doors.
• Diagnose door issues (springs, hinges, locks, electrical components) and repair.
• Install and configure door hardware and access control systems.
• Ensure safety and building code compliance of installed doors.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
