Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer (ATE) for a 100% remote U.S.-based role. You will develop/execute test plans and scripts for information systems across departments and APIs, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.

You will apply C#/Java/Python skills to both manual and automated testing, participate in Agile environments, and mentor junior testers while delivering robust test results and metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven track record on complex software projects and high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC understanding.
• Proficiency in writing/executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks/tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to meet requirements.
• Write test plans and schedules and define testing approach.
• Create and run test cases/scripts; identify data for scenarios.
• Walk through test cases/scripts with stakeholders.
• Lead tests to ensure defect-free IT systems and applications.
• Verify work products using defined methods and criteria.
• Document and communicate test results and progress.
• Support analysis of test results and issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
• Occasionally perform other IT engineering activities and test reviews.
