Job summary

Pohanka Automotive Group in Northern Virginia is seeking a Service Manager for our high-volume shop. You will lead the service department, collaborate with the Service Director, and drive efficient workflows while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will hire and manage technicians and service advisors, ensure adherence to warranty procedures, maintain accurate service records, and foster teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have previous automotive dealership experience in a Service Manager or Director role.
• Minimum 15 years experience in an automotive dealership, with at least 5 years in management.
• GM experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, customer service, and communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in service management software and databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily service operations and coordinate workflow for high-volume shop.
• Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the service process and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with the service team to resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
• Hire and manage technicians and service advisors; oversee performance and development.
• Maintain accurate records of service orders, invoices, and customer data; conduct audits.
• Foster a positive team environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols and warranty procedures.
