Job summary

MSIG USA, a global insurer, seeks a claims professional to handle commercial auto physical damage within authority and guidelines. You will resolve routine losses, manage appraisal and salvage partners, and ensure fair results for insureds and brokers while controlling costs and cycle time.

Responsibilities include reviewing notices of loss, determining liability with supporting data, routing to appropriate channels, and maintaining compliant claim files.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least three years of claims experience, including auto physical damage.
• Commercial auto or fleet experience is strongly preferred.
• Active adjuster license or ability to obtain within 90 days; state licenses as required.
• AIC, CPCU, I-CAR, ASE collision training or similar credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign new auto physical damage cases with policy and coverages verified.
• Make liability determinations using police reports and scene data per jurisdiction.
• Triage claims to appropriate handling channels and route as needed.
• Review vendor appraisals, invoices, and ensure accuracy; manage rental and loss-of-use.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and report suspected fraud per procedures.
• Maintain compliant electronic files and communicate decisions to insureds and brokers.
