Job summary

Goodville Mutual Casualty Company seeks a Claims Supervisor to lead and train auto claims representatives handling personal and commercial auto lines. You will oversee settlements with authority up to $40,000, review complex casualty claims, and ensure adherence to company guidelines and industry standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, verifying coverages, negotiating with claimants and attorneys, and coordinating workflow across Pennsylvania offices.

Qualifications

• Requires college education preferred.
• Five years’ Property and Casualty claims experience preferred.
• Texas all lines adjuster license, or the ability to obtain a Texas all lines adjuster license, required.
• Ability to supervise employees and coordinate work processes.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverages and terms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train auto claim representatives handling personal and commercial auto lines.
• Verify policy coverage on assigned casualty claims.
• Evaluate casualty claims for proper settlement.
• Negotiate with claimant, carriers, insureds and attorneys when necessary.
• Notify manager of claims exceeding settlement authority of $40,000.
• Assist in developing workflow solutions for auto claims.
• Refer potential fraud claims to SIU Manager.
• Attend claims seminars and insurance related meetings.
