Job summary

PAMIC is seeking a Claims Supervisor to oversee auto claim representatives handling personal and commercial auto lines and casualty claims. The role includes settlement authority up to $40,000 and collaboration with the Casualty Claim Manager to resolve complex claims.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, verifying coverages, negotiating settlements, and contributing to training and workflow improvements. Travel to multiple office locations is required.

Qualifications

• College education preferred.
• Five years’ Property and Casualty claims experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise employees and coordinate work processes required.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverages and terms preferred.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise auto claim representatives and handle complex casualty claims.
• Verify policy coverage and evaluate casualty claims for proper settlement.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, carriers, insureds and attorneys when necessary.
• Notify and escalate to Casualty Claim Manager for claims exceeding settlement authority.
• Assist in training Auto Claims Representatives and develop workflow solutions for auto claims.
