Qualifications

• Current Claims Adjuster licenses in one or more states preferred but must be willing to obtain additional state licensures.
• Knowledge of insurance contracts and investigation techniques is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze first reports and promptly contact insured/claimants.
• Evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues.
• Develop file promptly to provide accurate investigation and loss analysis.
• Maintain an active file diary toward resolution.
• Establish accurate and timely reserves.
• Recognize and pursue recovery.
• Adhere to statutory and regulatory fair claims practices.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims.
• Manage outside vendors effectively.
• Evaluate claim facts and negotiate settlements.
• Develop relationships with internal and external customers.
• Serve as a technical resource to less experienced Adjusters.
• Contribute to team goals and deliverables.
• Support CAT operations and overtime during CAT events.
