Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Ames, IA, is seeking an Auto Body Technician who expertly repairs vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and realign vehicle frames, replacing/repairing parts and glass as needed.

You must follow WOW standards, meet KPIs, and act as a Brand Ambassador for the company. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Knowledge of auto body repair methods and tools required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and repair vehicle panels and structural components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames as needed for structural integrity.
• Replace damaged sections and glass as required.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect finished work.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
