Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 4–5 years minimum collision auto body repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and how to use required tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using listed tools and materials.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and install new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld, fit, and repaint vehicles to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to confirm quality and safety.
