Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass - Bissonnet, Houston, TX is seeking an Auto Body Technician with 4-5 years of experience to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold our brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either technical school training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass and windshields as needed.
• Welds and fits parts, prepares and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
