Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial insurance
• Or
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
• 3+ years commercial insurance experience
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)
• Requires strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
• Have a solid understanding of the market landscape
• Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff

Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor Actuarial Analysts and Consultants on pricing and analytical projects
• Oversee actuarial analyses and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
• Manage teams' time/workload and communicate with leadership
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to present analyses and recommendations
• Provide coaching and direction to staff for professional growth
• Balance business results with appropriate use of human capital
