Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• CPA strongly preferred or licensure in progress.
• Experience in government and non-profit audits is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client service skills.
• Ability to supervise and train staff while managing multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop people through delegating tasks and guiding staff.
• Provide performance feedback, training, and evaluations for staff.
• Foster an efficient, team-oriented work environment.
• Use technology to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Direct fieldwork daily; plan and supervise audit phases; inform supervisors of status.
• Build relationships with client personnel and manage client satisfaction throughout the year.
• Adapt the audit approach to changing client environments.
• Understand client financial reporting requirements and prepare statements and reports.
• Identify operational improvements for clients and risk areas to audit leads.
• Review staff workpapers for compliance with standards and firm policy.
• Develop public speaking and presentation skills; manage overtime as needed.
• Work toward passing the CPA exam.
