Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or coursework to qualify as CPA
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop people by delegating tasks and guiding staff
• Provide performance feedback and training, and complete evaluations
• Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment
• Use technology to learn, enhance service delivery and efficiency
• Direct fieldwork daily; inform supervisors of engagement status; plan and supervise audit phases
• Maintain strong client relationships and proactively engage with clients
• Adapt the audit approach to changing client environments
• Demonstrate understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts
• Prepare client financial statements and meet deadlines
• Identify operational improvements for clients
• Identify risks to be raised to supervisors/partners
• Review staff workpapers ensuring compliance with standards
