Withum’s audit and attest team leads the planning, execution and supervision of audit engagements for diverse clients. This Senior Auditor role centers on guiding staff, managing engagement risks, and delivering high-quality financial reporting with strong client service and regulatory awareness.

You’ll work closely with managers and partners, traveling as needed to ensure engagement success and develop staff through mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience, leading multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills; willing to travel.

Responsabilités

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and conclusions.
• Provide supervision and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication with the engagement manager and partner.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and regulatory/accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
• Review all scheduled and non-scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies.
• Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel.
