Job summary

Withum is seeking a Senior Auditor to join the Houston, TX office and lead audit engagements from planning through completion. You’ll supervise staff, mentor the team, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring adherence to US GAAP and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in public accounting, stellar analytical skills, and a proven track record in coordinating multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA, or pursuing CPA certification.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience with leading engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with US GAAP knowledge.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to build client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and projects in a fast-paced team.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team from planning to completion of audits, reviews, or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement including staffing, planning, risk assessment, and reporting.
• Provide supervision and support to staff and communicate with engagement manager and partner.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and regulatory considerations.
• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet deadlines.
• Develop and manage engagement budgets and track inefficiencies.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
